What is involved?
This project involves a few photographic and written activities where we want to hear your thoughts on photography and landscape ecology. We hope they can provide some reflection on how you connect to the image and the environment. The questions are intentionally broad and open so you have the freedom to explore and answer in however way you like and feel comfortable. The activities are in no way intended to cause any distress or anxiety, so if you feel uncomfortable at any point please feel free to stop.
It is up to you to decide whether you take part and how much you do; not choosing to take part will not disadvantage you in any way. Before completing the following activities you will need to complete and sign the consent form. You may also decide to withdraw at any time without giving any reason at any point throughout the process. If you choose to do so please contact Emma Mcloughlin by email.
Your information
Data collected in this project will be used as part of Emma’s dissertation to further understand the role of photography in broader conversations of climate change. Additionally, these findings and any analyses will help inform Alan’s photographic practice as he works towards completing his next photographic publication, something we hope can help the communities within Fort McMurray in some way.
Any data resulting from your participation will be anonymised to the best of our ability (unless you wish to choose otherwise). No personal information beyond your profession will be collected, and all data will be collected and stored in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018. This personal data will be used to inform analyses of the written and photographic data.
Please see the ‘Local Data Protection Privacy Notice’ for more details.
